Intro to Acid Dyes • October 1

This is the go-to workshop for learning the fundamentals of dyeing with acid dyes. You will learn safety precautions and methods when using acid dyes, including which types of fibers can be used. Then learn a repeatable method of mixing and dyeing using chemistry with common measuring devices. Come away with the knowledge and experience to try dyeing on your own, as well a few fabric swatches to reference or add to your stash. This workshop provides a broad beginning working knowledge in the use of wash fast acid dyes. Great for beginners! Candy Kuehn creates wearable art, costumes, wall pieces, and sculptures in numerous media. Her art pieces are functional, reversible, and have multiple uses that sometimes change with the passage of time.
