Alonzo Pantoja

This immersive two-session workshop will introduce you to coiling, a structural textile technique that can be used to create sculptural work. Students will learn the process from beginning to end– how to start a coil, wrap yarn, join coiling material, and finish off the work. Demos and discussion will cover formal elements of art and design including form, color, texture, and consideration of how the work is viewed and displayed in space.
