Holiday Crafternoon: Stitched Sachets and Hand Warmers • 1 Hour Time Slots

Bring your family and friends to Textile Center for a Holiday Crafternoon! Make a scented sachet or hand warmer using embroidery and hand-stitching techniques. This intergenerational class is open to crafters of all ages. Attention all parents who need a break or kiddos who want to create a surprise gift for their parents: youth ages 5 years and up are invited to participate in this class on their own while their adult caregiver is onsite enjoying our Library, Community Room, or Holiday Shop. Textile Center will provide all supplies necessary to make one sachet or hand warmer — and we’ll even help you wrap it.

Pre-registration recommended; Drop-Ins welcome.

Instructor Bio:

Kaylyn Gerenz (she/her) is an educator and artist in St. Paul, MN, who started needle felting over a decade ago. She uses fiber as a main element in her professional artwork to communicate the urgency to document memories and history, and continues to explore the idea of flesh and fabric as evocative containers. She recently received her MFA in sculpture from the University of Wisconsin- Madison, where she taught a visual culture course for two years. kaylyngerenz.com
