Wondering if thermofax printing is for you? Thermofax is a type of photocopying technology that was introduced in 1950. The thermofax machine uses small screens and heat to create a re-produceable image. As technology has advanced, these machines have been rediscovered as great tools for producing printable surface designs (similar to screen printing). Give it a try in this quick two-hour workshop. Learn a simple way to create a screen using your own design, and test out materials and tools. You will be working on a textile that you bring from home and leave class with a screen you can use again. For Get Started classes, most materials are provided as part of the class fee.

Instructor Bio:
Sandra Brick is a trainer, coach, and educator with over 21 years of experience with the Textile Center both as an instructor and former Board member. She has designed and developed 35+ workshops and courses in a diverse range of workshop topics such as fabric dyeing, design theory, beading, creative problem solving, and technology workshops for artists. Brick’s explorations in new materials and techniques have inspired her innovative body of work in surface design, stitching and mixed media, which has been widely exhibited. facebook.com/TE.SandraBrick/

Withdrawal Policy
If you need to withdraw from class and you send a withdrawal request at least 5 business days before the start of your workshop, you may receive a refund (minus a $25 processing fee). Alternatively, you may transfer your full tuition to another currently listed class or convert your full tuition into a tax-deductible donation to Textile Center.
We are unable to provide a refund or make a tuition transfer if your notice of withdrawal is received less than 5 business days before the start of your workshop, except in the case of illness or health risk (please see COVID-19 tuition transfer policy here). In this case, your tuition can be converted to a tax-deductible donation to Textile Center. We will be happy to provide you with a receipt for your donation if you request one.
