Wondering if dyeing is for you? Try it in this quick two-hour workshop. Learn about MX Fiber Reactive Procion dyes while working with cellulose fibers, and then dip into the exciting and vast world of exploring color on textiles. We will provide the dyes and equipment. Please bring an article of pre-washed clothing (shirt, skirt, shorts, light weight pants), household article, or piece of fabric to over dye–something that is already dyed another color. You may bring more than one article, but there may not be time to do more than one item. Any item that you bring needs to be made of a natural plant fiber– cotton, rayon, linen, bamboo, etc. Silk will work, as well. No synthetics (poly, acetate, nylons), wool, or animal (hair) fibers, please.

Instructor Bio:
Sandra Brick is a trainer, coach, and educator with over 21 years of experience with the Textile Center both as an instructor and former Board member. She has designed and developed 35+ workshops and courses in a diverse range of workshop topics such as fabric dyeing, design theory, beading, creative problem solving, and technology workshops for artists. Brick’s explorations in new materials and techniques have inspired her innovative body of work in surface design, stitching and mixed media, which has been widely exhibited. facebook.com/TE.SandraBrick/

Withdrawal Policy
If you need to withdraw from a class, please email Cristin McKnight Sethi, Director of Education, at cmcknightsethi@textilecentermn.org.
If your withdrawal request is received at least 10 business days before the start of your class, you are eligible to (pick one):
1) Receive a tuition refund (minus a $25 processing fee). 2) Transfer your full tuition to another currently listed class (i.e. a class that is listed on the website at the time of your withdrawal request). 3) Convert your full tuition into a tax-deductible donation to Textile Center. We will be happy to provide you with a receipt for your donation if you request one.
If your withdrawal request is received less than 10 business days before the start of your class, you are eligible to (pick one):
1) Transfer your class spot to another person (i.e. gift your class registration to a friend, neighbor, or family member). You must communicate any transferring of class registration to Cristin McKnight Sethi (cmcknightsethi@textilecentermn.org). Please let Cristin know the name and email address of the person who will be taking your spot in class. 2) Convert your full tuition into a tax-deductible donation to Textile Center. We will be happy to provide you with a receipt for your donation if you request one.
We are unable to provide a refund or make a tuition transfer if your notice of withdrawal is received less than 10 business days before the start of your class. This includes in cases of COVID-19, other illnesses, or medical emergencies.
