Comfortable, well-fitting knits often seem to be go-to choices each morning as we prepare for the day. Although knits do provide ease and freedom of movement, proper fit is still important. This workshop is built around an approach that allows students to develop a personal knit block or foundation piece for creating tees, camis, tanks, knit tops and sheath dresses that fit and flatter your figure. There are other methods of arriving at the end product, but this is the most fun! We will be draping in small groups as you learn, using a Ponte knit to mimic the “muslin test garment”. You will drape a basic knit block, front and back, on the body, which will be converted to a paper pattern. A drafted sleeve that fits will follow. Please bring a working sewing machine to class. $40 material fee for knit and misc. supplies due at the time of class. **See supply list of items to bring to class**
