Instructor Bio:
Sadie Stock (she/they) began exploring fiber arts in childhood, learning spinning, knitting, and sewing from the women in her family. She recently graduated from Sterling College in Vermont where the college’s experiential learning curriculum allowed Sadie to explore broad topics of ecology, food, education, and culture often through the medium of fiber. At Sterling, Sadie was introduced to natural dyes and dyeing, and since then has been diving into quilting, knitting, and crocheting as connecting threads to past generations in their family. Sadie is interested in exploring the fiber in context as an art form that spans cultures and time and tracks dynamics of class, race, and gender throughout the world.
