Carol Grim
ShopCarol Grim (International Falls, Minnesota) graduated from North Dakota State University with a degree in design and minor in textiles. She is retired from Rainy River Community College followed by 16 years of teaching weaving at Camp Ogichi Daa Kwe (strong spirited woman) on Rainy Lake, a wilderness tripping camp for girls. Her main interest is weaving on a floor loom in her studio. She crafts large Swedish wooden star ornaments by weaving water-soaked wood strips, which are bent, clamped, and dried. She also does sewing, tailoring and birch bark basket weaving. Carol lives on Rainy Lake with her biologist husband, Lee.
