Author Carol James of Fingerweaving Untangled and Sprang Unsprung will discuss her journey as the ‘SashWeaver,’and the history of the sprang technique as part of Textile Center Pat O’Connor Library Author Lunch Series. She will also share her re-creation of the sash George Washington received from British General Braddock during the French and Indian Wars. This piece will be included in the Mount Vernon Museum in Washington D.C. This preview at Textile Center will be the ONLY opportunity to see it up close before it is handed over to the museum’s permanent collection.

Author lunch in Textile Center auditorium: noon to 1 pm. Bring your own bag lunch.

Drop-in schedule of sprang technique demonstrations in Weaver’s Guild: 10 – 11:30 am, 1 – 2 pm, and 4 – 7 pm.
