Thank you for joining Textile Center for a day excursion to Hjemkomst Center to view the contemporary quilt exhibition Quilt National ‘15 at the Historical and Cultural Society of Clay County, Moorhead, MN.

Quilt National ’15 is the 19th biennial juried exhibition of innovative art quilts produced by Barn Art in Athens, Ohio. The traveling exhibit contains an eclectic collection of never-before exhibited works from talented fiber artists representing 33 states and eight foreign countries. The exhibition’s Moorhead tour stop is co-sponsored by MN Quilters.

Includes: admission to the Quilt National ’15 exhibit and the Hjemkomst* Center, with a guided tour and a visit with the exhibit curator. The Hjemkomst Viking Ship and Hopperstad Stave Church replica will also be on view.

ITINERARY OVERVIEW

  • 7 am – 1st pick-up, MN Quilters (Recovery Church 253 State St, St Paul, 55107)
  • 7:30 am – 2nd pick-up, Textile Center (3000 University Ave SE, Minneapolis, 55414)
  • 11:30 am – Arrive Hjemkomst Center

Lunch Options: purchase lunch (a soup & a “build your own” sandwich buffet, includes beverage, tax & tip) at the museum; bring your own lunch; or walk to local eateries.

  • 2:30 pm – Depart Moorhead
  • 6:30 pm – Drop-off Textile Center
  • 7 pm – Drop-off at MN Quilters
